The City of New Braunfels wants to welcome you and offer you a fun and pleasant experience. 

New ordinances have been developed to help everyone stay safe and have a good time..

The new regulations are simple and limited to specific areas within the New Braunfels city limits. They do not apply to portions of the Guadalupe River outside the city limits nor to attractions like Schlitterbahn or Canyon Lake.

There are basically three new regulations for specific areas within the New Braunfels city limits:

1. The maximum size for a cooler on the rivers is the 16 quart size and coolers must have a locking mechanism to prevent spillage (a zipper, Velcro fastener, latch, or cord to keep cooler lids on.)

2. Open containers are not permitted in Prince Solms Park, at the last public exit on the Comal River, or at Cypress Bend, and Hinman Island parks.

3. Rafts are not allowed on the Comal River and all flotation devices used on the Comal River must be 5 feet or less in diameter or width at the widest point. Vessels over 18 feet are not allowed on the Guadalupe River within the city limits.
