Waterwheel D102 is a first-floor unit that sits on a bluff along the Guadalupe River, offering plenty of space and a private balcony overlooking the beautiful green area that trails down to the Guadalupe River.

2 bedroom, 2 bath condo sleeps and allows 6 guests maximum.

Property grills are located down the green area with picnic tables going down toward the second pool and Guadalupe River access.

6 blocks away from Schlitterbahn and the Comal River!

Water Wheel Resort Condominiums sits on Guadalupe Riverfront property with 2 Pools and 4 Hot tubs!
-Sitting on the relaxing bank of the Guadalupe River you can get a 20-minute float in by walking 5 minutes over to River Acres Parks off of the Common Street Bridge, get in, and float down to the private Water Wheel Resort riverbank (make sure you’re wearing the property specific wristband!) and repeat for free all day long!
-Take advantage of the beautiful green area on property, bring some lawn chairs to sit and have a day on the riverbank with the convenience of staying on property for lunch and bathroom breaks.
-A quick 10-minute walk to the Schlitterbahn East -Blastenhoff entrance! Pack your cooler, and sunscreen, and don't have to deal with finding a parking spot!
- Walk with your tubes and cooler for about 15 minutes to Prince Solms Park/Hinman Island Park for public access to the Comal River and Tube Chute, jump in and float down to the last public exit (corner of S Union and Lincoln St) About a 2 hour float! Walk back to Water Wheel about 15 minutes!
--Take a brisk 20 minute walk to nearby restaurants or stroll further into downtown New Braunfels to enjoy more local restaurants, bars and breweries, shop in our quaint boutiques, and get strudel in the oldest bakery in Texas, Naegelin's Bakery!
- If you want to float a long portion of the Guadalupe River, we advise you to drive to Rockin R to rent THEIR tubes and use their shuttle service.
-And, Gruene, Texas with the world-famous Gruene Hall and delicious restaurants such as Gruene River Grill and The Gristmill are only a 10-minute drive away!

Places we recommend that are within a 10-20 minute walk to and from the complex:
Restaurants: Pats Place, Tin Top Burgers, Union Street Station, Muck & Fuss, New Braunfels Coffee, The Mess Around, Naegelin's Bakery, Bootlegger Pizza, Krause’s Café, McAdoos Seafood, Myrons Prime Steakhouse.
Bars/Night Life: The Oyster Bar, Calahans Pub & Pizza, Black Whale Pub, Moonshine & Ale, Phoenix Saloon, Scores Sports Bar, The Pour Haus, Downtown Social.

Must be 25 or older to book, kids are welcome with a parent/legal guardian.
Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented to receive check-in information.
Occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests are allowed.

Pet-Friendly unit with the following fees: 2 pets max.
$25/day/pet, $60 Pet Cleaning fee, $500 Pet Deposit 7-10 business days after your departure
*If you are bringing a pet, please be sure to add it to the message when booking, so we can apply pet fees.

Wristbands and Parking Passes are enforced at this property.
Each condo will receive wristbands per maximum occupancy, which must be worn at all times while on property and 2 parking passes. Renters are guaranteed 1 marked parking spot close to the front door of the condo while second-vehicle parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis anywhere unmarked on property. Overflow parking is first-come, first-served on Mather St. running parallel to the condo complex.

Security guards are enforced on premises.

Pet Friendly Rentals

While many of our properties adhere to a strict “No Pets” policy, a select number of our properties welcome dogs and are advertised as “Pet Friendly.” Any guest found with a pet in a property that is not pet friendly or approved will be required to vacate the premises without refund and with an automatic $500 fine to the credit card on file. This policy is strictly enforced as some property owners and guests have severe pet allergies and dander in a home listed as non-pet-friendly could cause serious health problems.

"The condo was a nice surprise. Location was great. Right on the river. Easy to walk to entry points and float to the property. No need to drive or ride a shuttle. Having the tubes in the condo was a nice touch. Didn’t have to buy or rent them. Allowed flexibility of when and how often we wanted to float. Highly recommend the local park and hike in town too. Nice long weekend getaway with the family.

"I have stayed in this condo during the winter for the last two years. The condo is comfortable and well appointed. It is refreshing to know that I have more than enough place settings and cooking/baking supplies to run a 'normal' household. Fantastic stay

"The condos were very nice, the parking was easy and very close to the room. We had elderly with us so the no stairs was fabulous. The condo was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen. The beds were extremely comfortable and the condo had plenty of room. The short walk to the river was fabulous and very beautiful. We will book again next year.

"This is a terrific condo. Unlike other WaterWheel units, this one is freshly updated and beautiful. Convenient first floor location and access to river.

Busy weekend

"This stay at waterwheel was so different than any others we’ve experienced. I can only guess that it was just due to college kids getting ready to go back to school or what it was. We had a rough stay from people smoking and cursing in the pool in front of our small children to people yelling and screaming off their balconies at 1:30am, and security and the after hours number being useless. The patio furniture was in dire need of repair/replacement as well.
I will say that River city resorts handled things very well when I finally did get in touch with them Saturday morning. We were moved to a different condo complex altogether and had a great experience there.

I still recommend waterwheel, just be sure to check your dates!

"We had a wonderful time here, the view was beautiful and the pool/hot tub was a big hit with all of us! One of our bathroom doors was locked when we got there and maintenance fixed it within the hour!!

Quick getaway

"Glad to have found the place on such short notice. Easy to checkin- got a code for the lock, which was great since we arrived late in the evening. The place was nice, not the Four Seasons, but it was what we needed. Confy beds, cable in each room, full kitchen, cute nature view out back. Parking wasn’t bad, they were pretty strict on checking for passes though. One security guard was cool, made us feel welcome, but some other guard had a very accusatory deameanor and was kind of a toolbag. Nonetheless, it was a great stay and would go back again!

Great place

"I was nervous about this place. Condo areas can have a lot of noise and traffic. However, this was great, we had D102 which faced the larger pool and had a huge open field that deer came to each day. The place had two b/b and no twins or bunk beds so it was great for couples without children!! The condo area itself was never loud with parties or children and the overall area was clean and the location was great...only about a 7 dollar uber to Gruene. I will be back to this location.

Great place to spend the holidays

"My family of 4 stayed during the week of Dec 25th to Jan 1st. We had stayed at this unit last year as well and we returned because it is a great apartment. The living room is very nicely furnished with leather sofa and flat screen TV. There is a high table for meals. The kitchen is OK....starting to get a bit outdated when it comes to the appliances, but everything works well still. The rooms are small, but with comfortable beds and sufficient furnishing for a weeks stay. Bathrooms are standard...everything working fine. We used the heating only once or twice and the apartment was cozy for the winter nights. The apartment has a nice view to the gardens and pool area, and a small balcony to sit and enjoy the view. Winter is a slow time for the area, but we enjoy the comfortable apartment and the great restaurants in downtown New Braunfels. Will come back next year!

Great for families

"Spent the week after Christmas with four other families at Waterwheel. The property is well located...5 minutes from I35, with easy access to all types of business and food options. Downtown New Braunfels is worth the visit, with nice restaurants and shops. Our condo was well equipped, but the mattresses need to be changed or at least flipped over. Both bedrooms were quite small. Living room area was extremely nice. Kitchen OK...needs more appliances/utensils. Heating works great. Overall a very nice stay.

Memorial Day Weekend Trip

"We had a blast! Free shuttle from our condo to the comal and they pick us up and drop off! Had area to get in and lounge in the Guadalupe river. So clean and nice in our condo. All the other guest were friendly! Definitely a good time was had by all! Only complaint would be that the property never came to get the trash from the pool area so it really piled up over the weekend but never had trash on the property grounds! Would definitely go back and may next year :)

"Our family of four stayed here for the weekend so that we could attend Wurstfest. It was the perfect place for kids, lots of open area to run around and burn off energy, it was clean, convenient to activities, and very well kept. We will definitely stay there again.

"We had a good time. Spent a lot of time in the swimming pool (the water is WARM) and hot tub. My grand-baby loved the small water fountain in the swimming pool Walked down to the river and went tubing. We just hung out in the picnic area, could have used a little more lighting during the cookout at night.
